AK's been through a lot. Had it muddy, frozen, on fire, wet, dry, gory, dirty etc etc... Not a scratch on it's spraypaint finish though =)
Shotgun's been through a housefire+1 month of the worst weather I've seen in a while during the excavation process of the remains. Got it back though in the end, had to get pretty vulgar with the apartment owners though.
1911 started out a beauty queen, then had a makeover at briley, then a newbie gunsmith got ahold of it and destroyed the value, then I got ahold of it and it fits right in with everything else so why not?

Sorry for taking us so OT ... *COUGH* ... anyway, yeah ... *COUGH* ... mules and beaters, hmm?
Not a rifle by a far stretch, but definitely a survivor. It isn't mine, but it was featured in a blog piece all about firearms photography dos and don'ts: http://xavierthoughts.blogspot.com/2008/02/xaviers-gun-photography.html
Hope that steers us slightly more OnT than OffT ...
