RORG 5.56 brass: what is the general opinion on this stuff?

I've been using some of it... I'm not too impressed overall, but then again I'm a new reloader, so maybe what I'm seeing isn't as big a deal as I think it is.

i view it in between A-merc and FC
i have had bad luck with RORG 89 as it is difficult to resize, and ends up skinning the brass by pushing a pile of it down the case, sort of like a snowplow pushes snow, the brass builds up on the side that is difficult to resize. i have tried no lube, tons of lube, different lube, all to no avail.
the brass is crap. i will resize it and if it passes the case gauge i will reload it for use where i know i wont be bale to pick up my brass.

Most people I have talked to say they think it is OK. I have a bit of it but haven't gone through enough of my brass stock to have to use those yet.

RORG == Radway (British, IIRC) milsurp. It has crimped primers and may be oversize from having been shot in a pretty generous military chamber. It will need processing before use (e.g. trimmed and primer pocket reamed), just like any other milsurp brass.

It's been as good to me as any other NATO milsurp.

So far I have not actually done any shooting with any .223 brass other than the RORG 92.

All the RORG that I have was originally fired in my rifles. However, some of it was fired in an upper (since returned) that I suspect had some excessive headspace.

Now that I've got some cartridge gauges, I know which pieces of brass are resizing correctly and which are not.

Without a small base die, I expected that some of this brass would not resize correctly (having come from an excessive headspace upper). First pass through, I tossed probably 20% of it that did not resize enough to fit the gauge.

What has me confused now though, is that during subsequent reloads, I am still probably tossing 5% or more each time through because it is not resizing to fit the gauge. These are pieces that *did* resize to fit the guage last time, or I wouldn't even have them in the lot anymore.

I've also noticed that some of the flash holes seem to be way off center.

I'm wondering how all this might be affecting (or not) accuracy.

I've processed some WCC 07 brass, and every single one of them has sized correctly, seems to have centered flash holes, etc. I have not used any of it yet, but just working with it, it seems to be higher quality.

Brit Radway Green. Normally, good stuff, as good as LC IMHO.

I just resized 1200 cases of RORG 92 with no problem.
