mosin m 38

looking for a very nice mosin 38 with the original stock...not cut for a bayonet like the m44 stocks. does anyone know a source for really clean m38s, and whether the m38 came as original equipment with a laminated stock which i would prefer cause they are so purrty.

No, the M38 did not have a laminated stock originally. If you see one in a laminated stock it's rearsenaled.

As far as a minty fresh M38 I've only seen a handful. 90% of them are counterbored and not terribly accurate. I suspect many have been rebored completely. I can only suggest keep looking.
