I have an Action Arms conversion bolt machine gun. I recently ordered an UZI full auto parts kit that has a barrel in it. The original full auto barrel is too big in diameter to fit into the (originally) semi auto receiver. My question is, Can I turn the full auto barrel down in a lathe and make it work? I plan on getting the dimmensions off of my original barrel and using them. Are there any special precautions I should take, or anything I may not be aware of?

Semi and SMG barrels are not the same. If I remember right SMG barrels have a trunion block.
