I have a coworker who is into cowboy shooting, and just picked up two pairs of New Vaqueros. He's wanting to replace the hammers with wider Super Blackhawk hammers. I see that Brownells has them for around $30 each, since he would probably be buying four, is there anywhere that he could get a better price?

Also, I've read that the New Vaqueros have different hammers. Is it just the arc of the spur that's different, and will SBH hammers still fit without a problem?

SBH hammers will drop right in. They're actually a factory option, if you consider the Montado :).

Call Ruger they sell them, but maybe not cheaper, they will get you the right one though for sure.

Power custom sells hammers IIRC but they are probably more than brownells.
