Dont know if anyone gets this magazine. IT sure is a good Magazine. Kinda like haveing a subscription to THR Black powder. Anyhow Guns of the Old West has an original colt patterson that was converted to shoot cartridges. It is thought of as being the only patterson to have ever been converted. As most people thought that it was useless to convert a 35 year old gun back when conversions were the hit. Pretty cool.

Yup' it's expensive, but a good magazine. Those that aren't interested in a Paterson conversion might enjoy the article on making cap & ball or cartridge converted snubbies...

I bought a 5 year subscription 2 years ago for about 50 bucks ..it`s some good reading ..wish it came every month .

Guns of the Old West is the best gun rag out there. I love it but hate the price. But for only four times a year I can deal with it. It gets read cover to cover a couple of times until the new edition hits the rack. I would subscribe but I am always afraid they will start the subscription with the issue I just bought.

I guess great minds do think a like. Yep that magazine is like treasure in my place. I truely wish it came out monthly. It is kinda pricey but man i am always looking forward to the next issue.
