Does anyone have a good source for small screws, taps and dies? By small I mean one sixteenth and under - I' like to find a set of taps and dies like you see in larger ones. Need ready made screws too!

Sounds like a jewelers supply house to me for really tiny stuff.

Brownell's sells taps down to 0-80 TPI, and dies down to 1-64 TPI.

You must really like breaking taps!

Cheap & not breaking taps doesn't go well together.

It's been my experiance that cheap taps break much easier & more often then expensive taps.

They are always less sharp, and made of lesser quality steel.

That's why I won't use cheap taps!

If you are looking to just chase threads or clean them up you can use a blot instead of buying a tap I take a dremel tool and grind a relief on the length of the bolt this will cut a light amount of steel and remove any debris in the threads.
