For the makarov which do you like best. The Makawrap or the Hogue Hand -all? Mine are stock plastic grips. I would like to upgrade or improve my grips. I really didnt like the Pearce grips on my buddies Mak.

I also do not like Pearce grips as I feel they add too much bulk.
I have not put a Hogue HandAll on my Mak but I generally do not like the HandAlls because I am not fond of the palm swell.
I also did not like Makawrap grip. For me it changes the grip angle enough that I do not like the way the gun points with it in place.
My favorite grips are the black East German grips. They are nice and flat without a thumbrest or lanyard ring.
With that said, if you would like to try out a Makarap and a Pearce on your Mak I have both ane they are just gathering dust. You can have them both for $25 shipped if you want them. Email me if you are interested.

i bought pearce grips and it took a little while to get used to them because they do add girth to the pistol's grip
but i got used to them and now it feels normal with them on
if you have small hands the pearce grips might not be your best choice, but i love mine now
i can shoot a hundred rounds and not feel a thing

I got rid of my Pearce grips because they are just too bulky for CCW.
Instead I got these http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34981

I've tryed after market grips for my Mak, but they all added too much bulk, so I'm sticking with the standard "Star" plastic grip.

I've tried most after-market grips (except the wood ~ too pricey for me), and keep going back to the standard (non-thumb rest) issue grips with a strip of skate-board tape on the front strap.
They work for me... YMMV

I'm another that returned to the standard Mak grips (sans thumbrest) after trying out Pearce.

Handgun is correct. The black East German stock grips are the best of the lot. They are perfect for concealed carry.

...if you don't like the Pearce because of size...the Makawrap has a similar reputation. I actually like larger grips so I went with a custom Checkered Walnut setup...probably as big or bigger than the Pearce.
I have the EG also and if small is preferred, I think you'll be satisfied...www.makarov.com generally has them for a reasonable price...although their inventory changes daily.
Best wishes and safe shooting,
