Considering buying this folding stock and forend package for my Mossberg 500. I think this will compliment my 18" barrel quite nicely and transform my shotgun into a decent home protector. anyone have any input on this exact model before I buy?

Mossy safety's and pistol-grips don't co-exist very well.

Unless you have a giant size thumb that can reach it without letting go of the grip.
