Ruger Single-Six Cylinder Problem Solved

I had an inexpensive holster for my Ruger Single-Six, but there was always the nagging question of what to do with the extra cylinder. While at a surplus shop today, I bought a grenade pouch that fits right on to the holster. It was only $6.99...okay, seven bucks. I could have gotten a cheaper one for $3.99, but I liked the double belt loops.

Anyway, here's how it works:

It even has room for an extra set of hearing protectors. And
the heavy plastic bag that was part of the packaging was
perfect for keeping the cylinder dry!

The double loops make sure the cylinder stays with the
holster.

Neat idea but I'm kinda confused as to why the need to carry the extra cylinder.

When those convertibles first came out a lot of folks used the belt pouches made for police to hold a speed loader. IIRC, a few holster makers even added a pouch on the holster for the spare cylinder. I have not seen either for years now that the police have all gone to autoloaders.

The speedloader holders I have are too small for the cylinder, but this seems to work. I suppose when I begin using .22 mag, that it can come in handy. If not, I can always leave the pounch off. Or I can wear it on my belt.
