Alright I am at a loss here. I have all kinds of brass ... brass fired from my gun brass I picked up brass that I have bought new. I have trimed I have used the lee pace setters that has neck shaping bullet seating etc. I have factory ammo that I am measuring up against that actually works in my gun (dpms .308) but mine is getting stuck just short of a full seat. Neck measures up with other mil spec 7.62 and is slightly larger than some winchester hunting loads. I just dont know what the F' is going on. Any one have any ideas? Do I maybe need to invest in some different dies?

I would try a case gage, and that might help determine what the problem is.

You need to full length resize and may need to use a small base die as well. In addition, if you're trying to crimp the bullets (not really needed) you may be putting a small wrinkle in the case neck that is preventing chambering.

Load a dummy round and check to see that it has the same problem chambering.
Then, smoke it with a candle flame and carefully try to chamber it again.
Wherever the soot is gone is where your problem is.
Then go from there to correct it.

Alright I will try the candle so as to be starting cheap.. then go to the full length case sizing.
This is a stupid problem to be having. I should know better

Well, if you aren't already full-length sizing with range pick-up brass:
That Right There Is Your Problem!

If you buy an FL die, you should buy a case gage to go with it.
