I like to know if you can load rifle bullets like the 06 without removing the auto index?
I have a lee turret press (not the classic)
I find it to work excellent with pistol bullets but I have to remove the auto index rod to prevent the turret to cycle and work the press in single stage to load the 30-06 and the 38-55 Winchester.
I was thinking in upgrading to the classic press

yeah, you can reload .308/.30-06 in the classic turret press with auto-indexing enabled. I set mine all up to do .308 today and it works great.

I remove the auto index for my .308 and do batch loading, size and deprime them all, then clean primer holes, and check case lenght, then prime all with a hand primer, then turn turrent to the seating die, and load powder and seat each bullet.
