This is my "carry-in-sector, oh Bog, I'm out of ammo" knife. I just got 'er freshly sharpened and will be tying it down to my body armor as soon as I land in the middle east. Well, maybe not *as* soon, there will be the PX and Hadji shop to visit first.

I believe it is a Yugo Mauser Bayo, but the lettering is cyrillic. I bought it at a WaffenMarkt in Rothenburg, while on 30 days leave from the last trip to visit sandy.

I don't see any kydex, I bet there's no CroMo13x14TiKetchup in that blade, it doesn't even have MOLLE loops or velcro.. hell the thing's not even black!! how do you expect to use it?

nice bayo. I hope you never have to stick anybody with it. Most bayonets are just big knives (or small machetes) for cheap - and a fine investment if you're gonna use it hard.

Find some black Rustoleum and spray that blade.

If it sparkles in the photograph it will sparkle "when it counts."

It sparkles because I gave it a light coat of CLP before I took the pic. I'll most likely have it mounted like I did last year, by shoving it through molle loops on the ol' bullet proof (snicker) vest. Didn't shine much last time, what with all the damn dust and dirt and rust.

Best of luck to you and thanks for your service. I'm sure that fine bayonet will work great, even if it isn't ninja black.
