I just ordered 100 of these, along with a bunch of other stuff from midwayusa, federal tax refund.:D I have Winchester 296 and Accurate #9 on hand, which of these gives the better load, as far as accuracy and velocity, from a 4" barrel? I know I need magnum primers with 296, but how about #9?
I've loaded a bunch of 158's with 296 and it has been excellent. I've yet to load any 357 rounds with #9.

I have very good results with 13.2-13.5grs of AA#9 under Hornady 158gr XTPs with either Fed 100 or GM-100 or WSP, in my Colt Trooper .357 4" or my Ruger Security Six 2.75".

I've loaded Hornady 180gr XTP bullets with W296 and they were accurate out to over 100 yards in my Carbine. I tried them in my 4" M686 but they were a little stout and I didn't want to stress my revolver. I also loaded them with Lil'Gun. With a 170gr and 180gr bullet you get a little extra velocity with less pressure than with W296. I seriously suggest you try Lil'Gun for those heavy bullets. When I shot them in my M686 the recoil was noticeably less than with W296. I still use W296/H110 for 158gr & lighter bullets.
Sorry, I haven't used AA#9 either so I can't comment on it.
