Don't know if I'm a sucker for marketing hype but I sent in for the video and they do look nice. A bit expensive but very light and portable. Safety looks pretty good too. But I want a second opinion first. Talk away!

Will you be sleeping or hunting from your stand? :p

i like mine, how lite it is depends on how many "extras" you add to it, and how far from the truck you have to carry it in "texas" heat. i added the bow hunt adapter, shooting rail, and t/l leveler (called bob's best). the only thing i did not add that i might want is the wheels, they look like they might be useful. i have climbed pines and oaks with it and felt safe enough. good luck and happy hunting.

Borrowed one from a friend for deer season a few years back. The most comfortable stand I've ever sat in, however, I was glad to give it back to him. Out of all the stands I've ever used, it was the hardest I've ever used trying to climb the tree. It's a give and take thing. Take comfort, give some exersize trying to get up that tree. :D

I like mine if I've found a spot I KNOW is great. You can sit in it all day. Of course I always set it up pointing into the wind and often hear some snorting directly behind me. It takes a while to turn around in that thing if you're in a parka and snow pants.

The bottom climber for your feet does tend to fall alllllllll the way to the bottom of the tree periodically, so be sure to secure it when you stop climbing.

I've secured mine by tying a 1/4" nylon string from the top climber to the bottom climber. I learned my lesson the hard way. It's not easy to hold your gun and hold on to the top climber while trying to reach the bottom half of your stand that fell 5 feet down the tree and was lucky enough to get hung up. Not a fun experience.

Newt -- I had the same lesson. The 2nd or 3rd time I used it the bottom climber fell all the way to the ground. I pondered the issue for a few hours, no deer showed up so I finally started using my rope (I'm very glad I use a rope to pull my rifle up after setting the stand) with a loop to lasso the bottom climber. You need to get two sides attached BTW. After many attempts, and scaring away all wildlife, I worked the climber back up.

Now I keep it tied and double tied.:D

those of you who have "lost" your lower climber to gravity must have the older modle, mine came with two web straps that connect the top to the bottom to avoid this problem.;)

Mine is the newer lighter model and it also has the design that straps the upper and lower unit together. The only thing is that I just don't use it, so if anybody is interested, http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37581.
