I just found the 45acp 100rd value pack at Walmart yesterday. I've been waiting for a while, but this is the first time I've seen them. Winchester white box, packaged in two 50 round trays, not loose like the 9mm. Price is $19.97. Price isn't as good a deal as the 9mm, but it's still better than anywhere else in town (unless you wanna buy Blazer, which I don't). Haven't shot it yet but hopefully will at the SC THR shoot if it happens. Anybody shot any of this yet? I'm sure it's fine, just wondering if it is loaded hot and how dirty it is, etc.

I've had good luck with it, and it's no dirtier than other ammo I've shot.

I bought several boxes of Federal American Eagle, Winchester USA, and Sellier & Bellot to try with my H&K .45 USP Tactical. They all worked well.
Accuracy wise they ranked:
No. 1 = S&B
No. 2 = WinUSA
No. 3 = Fed AmEagle
S&B was hands down better than the other two, which were close to each other. When I bought them (about a year ago from Natchez) S&B was the cheapest as well. I just checked CheaperThanDirt and they have the S&B .45 ACP for $8.97 and the 9mm for $6.29 (/box-50)
Since then, for practicing with FMJ I shoot nothing but S&B .45 ACP as well as 9mm
My $.02

S&B is usually my ammo of choice for practice. I also ordered from Natchez about a year ago when it was cheap. Since then, prices on S&B have gone up by about a dollar a box.

My Kimber Custom II Target loves Value Packs. It will eats up boxes of that stuff and wants more.

Just put 100 rounds of the stuff though my friends 1943 Remington Rand 1911....not one failure. Decent accuracy for our crappy shooting....and cheaper than anything in the area. Im LOVING the 40 $&W value packs tho :D

So far 150 rds of Win USA value pack through my new SA 1911.
Accuracy is very good, approx 1"-2" at 15 yards if I do my part, which is more than enough for my purposes. I will say that it is a bit "smoky" and does leave a good bit or residue out of a 5" barreled gun.
S&B was cleaner and a bit hotter. It also left that reddish stuff on the breechface from the primer sealant.
Whenever I get a chance I'll order 500 more rounds of S&B so I can get a comparison.

Nothing but S&B .45 through my Colt 1991A1. At a little under $9.00 per box from Cheaperthandirt.com I can put enough through it.:D
