Sight Question on Benelli Nova

I ordered a Benelli Nova with the 28'' barrel. it is listed as having a red bar sight. can some one please explain it to me. is it fiber optic?? i have only held the slug gun so it had rifle sights. no one has the smooth bores in stock around here so i can't just go check it out

It is a fiber sight, about 7mm long and 3 mm wide, red in color.
