So I'm having my barrel painted with cerakote, and figured my plain jane stock needed a something too, so a pre step I wanted to do some Marine Tex texturing first. The info I found just didn't have enough pictures, so here are mine.

Hope they help!!

Time to do this: 4 hours. I did all this when I got home from work tonight.

Here is what I started with.

Here is prep:
I sanded, wiped, sanded wiped, scrathed the stock where I wanted the texture.
Then I cleaned it with acatone.

Got the blue paintes tape out.
Used my log book picture as a guide to what I wanted.

I used my rubber glove to make the texture look, tap over and over as it started to hardend up). I used to much Marine tex and had to scrape it off then push the stuff around with my rubber gloved fingers then tap'd more.

Is the barrel in the first picture before or after the cerakote application? If the picutre shows the cerakote, what color is it(satin mag, gun metal grey, etc)? Was it done with the air cure or over cure stuff?
