I just got one of these and was wondering if someone could give me some hints on how to snap the lid back on the primer holder without it turning some of them upside down. It has a pin that snaps into a hole and when I snap it in it is not down far enough to hold them in place and they jump around and turn over. After I get it loaded it is AWESOME but the loading sucks.......

Its not that hard...but it does take some getting used to. Slow, smooth...and no hurry is the best advice I can give.

I busted off the part on the upper half early on and use a hair thingy to hold it shut. It is like a rubber band and goes on and off easily and holds it secure. I have used it for years and years. My wife never missed it, I think. :)

I know this would seem obvious, but on a just-in-case basis - you do have the cutout in the lid rim positioned over the primer feeding channel before pushing the center pin into the base, right?

If you have the base with the primers sitting in it held firmly on a table before pressing the lid on, I honestly don't see how the primers are going to be jumping around.

Set the tray down on something hard & flat first.

If it can't spring down, it can't snap back up quite as hard!

I wore the snap-pin off mine years ago and use a big rubber band now.

The "Hair Thingy" sounds good.
I'll have to see about pilfering one of those from someone younger then my wife who still uses them!

Looks like a good setup walkalong! I'll have to try that when mine wears out :)

I figured this out....They made 2 different type of holders........some have the ridges of plastic that go from the corners to the center where the hole is. (the green part) and the other just has the ridge on the corners. I had the one that didnt have them in the middle. I took it back and now all is good. I do wish I could explain this better.
