Anybody tried one of these? They come in 4 or 8 power varieties with or without illuminated reticles. The usual reticle is a range finding type used on Russian marksman rifles. Light gathering is supposed to be top notch.

I guess I'm not in need of a scope to the point of dropping $400. But it strikes me that the quality of a Russian military scope could be out of all proportion to its price. So $100 might be well spent on one of these instead of $150 on a Simmons, or something.

Thoughts?
