I'm looking for a new spring from my Rem 870 magazine tube. It is a 6 shot tube.

Wolff is where I usually get my new springs from, however they only have 3 and 5 shot springs.

Any other ideas?

they have a stupidly long mag tube spring for 12 gauges that's meant for those custom mag extentions that go with the 28 inch barrels.

get one of those and cut it.

Larry,
I have an extra one from when I built my 870, I will give it to you. If you want, I will give you the orange follower also.
BUT, you have to teach me what you know, Jedi.

Most of the aftermarket springs are longer than they need to be anyway. I bet that the 5-shot will work fine.
I did a test on springs and the post is in TFL somewhere. I measured all the springs in my 870's (all wear +3 extensions) and the lengths varied quite a bit. All functioned fine.
The only gun that I have that has ever had a problem was my 1100 with a +3 extension. It had a stock spring and would not feed the final shell reliably.
If you really need a longer spring, I think that Wilson has them.

Sarco sells these springs in pkgs of (I forgot how many- a few in each pkg) and they're cheap. Look at their web site or see their ad in Shotgun News.
