Just got a new 22 Hornet barrel for my pre G-2 contender. I put it on the frame and closed it but was unable to re-open it. I don't know if it is because it is new or if something else is wrong. My old 44 barrel works great. Any help would be great. I know there are a lot of knowledgable people here.

perhaps there is a burr that is binding somewhere. If you dont get an answer from a member here, Brownells has an army of gun techs to help with questions like this. You can ask questions on the website, or call them on the phone. I would recommend calling TC, but I have never dealt with their customer service. I can speak for the great help I got from Brownells.

hope that helps!

I forget which barrel, but I had one do that which I bought new. Think it was my .30-30 barrel. I forget how I got it open, but after I did, it started working find. Think it had a burr or something it was catching on, not sure, but it has worked ever since. I think I just forced it open by whackin' it on my knee, but it's been a while. Know I didn't take it to a smith, though for a while I was considering it.

I will look again tonight to see if there is a burr anywhere on the barrel. Hopefully that is all that is wrong with it.

I got a chance to look at the barrel again tonight and was able to get it to work properly. Now I can go and get some practice with it. Thanks for all of the help. This is a wonderful place.
