Hiya all,

I have a friend who is need of money and wants to sell two of his rifles. He has a Marlin 30-30 with a scope, really nice condition, steel, wood, scope, all look good. He also has a GameMaster 6mm with a scope. This one is in fair condition, steel is nice, wood is a little ratty, nicks, scratches, etc. He really is a friend and I don't want to screw him, but on the same token, I don't want to get screwed either. What would these rifles be worth on an average please? I believe the scopes are both 3x9's and Bushnells.

I kind of thought this may be a "slow to get an answer" thread. I'm not looking for exact figures here, just an idea of what the rifles may be worth. I really am only interested in helping out my bud and will use these rifles for Sunday shooting. Any ideas as to their value would be greatly appreciated.

for the marlin, $200 would probably be fair.

not at all familiar w/ the other, though. just a w.a.g. here, but $250 would probably be fair.

i wouldn't put much value on the scopes.
