Hi, I have a newbie question. I am looking to buy a scope for small game - mainly squirrels and rabbits. Just wondering what is a good reticle for this purpose. I was looking at a german 4a, is it a good choice? I am worried that the lines might be too thick and cover up much of the target. ps I will be using a 22Lr. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That would be fine. At the ranges that you are hunting samll game the reticle thickness will not be a problem.

Thanks H&H, my max hunting range will be 100 yards (most shot coming at 50), so this reticle should be ok?

Shouldn't be a problem.
One of my rifle is scoped with a 2.5 power scope with a heavy reticle. I don't have any issues hitting prairie dogs at 200 yards with it.
