In the Lone Star state if a baddie gets shot whilst doing thuggy stuff... well too bad for the badguy. No charges are going to be sent forward on the shooter. Glad to see it.

In certain circumstances, TX law allows the use of deadly force to protect property.
However, just because you aren't prosecuted doesn't mean that you have no civil liability.
