I'm in the middle of a LEO Patrol Rifle Instructor Course and one of the other officers is from Georgia. In between classes we were talking and in his hometown (I forgot the name, will ask tomorrow) there is a town ordinance that every house must have atleast one firearm for self protection. The ordinance isn't enforced.....but wouldn't it be neat if every town did that???? Like thats ever gonna happen!!

That's the law in Kennesaw, Georgia. In fact I recall a story of a lady too poor to buy herself a gun so the city council bought one for her. :)

It is interesting to see the difference between the crime rates in Kennesaw vs other cities the same size. Crime in Kennesaw is way lower than the others.

The crime rate in Kennesaw is really low, probably much more to do with the paucity of DemocRATs living in Kennesaw than anything else. ;)

That's cool. While I really wouldn't want to see a law that forces people to have guns, it's much better than those laws that force people not to have them.

Ideally it would be great if all cities strongly encouraged every homeowner to have a firearm for protection.
