I have came into a old Weathrby. It is in good shape for its age. The stock has a few dings in but I can more than live with that. My question is the blueing. The blueing is wore down on the barrel and the muzzle. Does any one know if Weathrby will reblue and how much it will cost. What are my other options when it comes to finishes. I really want to stay with teh clasic blue finish. This going to be my hunting rifle so it does not have to look perfect, I am mainly concerned with preventing rust.

Does the warrenty transfer to me as the new owner.

Thanks

Warrenty aint gonna cover rebluing. Send rifle to competent gunsmith for rebluing. My preference is light beadblast and blue for non-glare matte finnish. Looks good and surface holds oil, and holds up well.

I was not looking for the warrenty to cover the finish just more concerned about voiding it if I have it done by another shop.

What should I expect to pay to have it refinished?

We charge $80.00 to reblue a long gun. Matte finish.
