Hello all!

My wife has been looking at these little dudes as a BUG. She normally likes shooting .357 Magnum out of her N-frame, but that one will not pull from a purse quickly. Do any of you have experience with either of these two sub-compacts that would inspire you to give tips/pointers/advice/or old-fashioned opinions? Thanks in advance!

I'm looking at the PM45 as well. Where I work I can't get away with carrying anything very big due to the work dress. I'd love to hear about the PM45 and 40 from anyone who owns them.

have a fellow poster who bought a PM45 and loves it. A super shooting gun and perfect out of the box. He also owns a PM9, which I also own to and I just think that is one of the finest ccw guns on the market at 14 ounces, mine as of today hit the 10150 perfect flawless round mark. Damn thing just goes bang every time, the PM 45 and 40 are built the same so I would see no reason why performance would be any less. I am told the PM45 is a tamer gun to shoot than the PM40. That PM45 is really cartching on, nothing in its class around. The kahr line of ccw guns has come a ong long way n teh past fews years and are rated as one of the most reliable handguns on the market. Alot of glock in the upper slide--ALOT. nothing to it's trigger system, simpler than the glocks even ....

I did the last two to show what it looked like next to a J-Frame. I love it. It is going to be a great carry gun for all seasons.

Thanks for the pics and report. Please keep a record of the first 500 rounds. Ammo, failures if any and hopefully not you would be doing us all a big service. How do you propose to carry. At 19.5 ounces unloaded it's a bit on the heavy side for the pocket, but that's just me.

Oh BTW and of course you know nothing compares with a S&W M&P 340. ;) for CC.

Love my PM40. Easy to slip into my pocket or wear IWB. This gun makes it easy to carry all the time.

No problem getting a grip on the slide. It is actually a bit looser in my opinion than my pm9. I think the trigger is also a bit better on the pm45. I am sure that it has the same trigger pull weight, but with the wider grip and the extended front strap, I think it just feels a bit crisper and easier to fire.

I would have to agree that it is pushing the limit of pocket carry. That is what the 340 and the pm9 are for. Notice all the lint in the back grip of the pm9. I guess in a pinch you could carry it in a front pocket. Luckily I have a Kydex IWB for my Cobra Patriot 45, and the PM45 fits in it fairly well. It is definetely not a flush fit, but will do until more manufacturers start making them for the pm45.

I think it will certainly do fine in a pair of cargo shorts in the side pocket in the summer time. Most likely I will also install a universal clipdraw on it and carry it IWB at 4 o'clock on my hip.
