Where are these guns made? I picked up one today to check it for fit and I fell in love with. Might even part with a few bucks and fetch it home. It was a Bobwhite SXS.
Tell me something, you guys that know about CZ.

Those guns come from Turkey...And many folks will say that Turkish shotguns are no count, but I too was bitten by the fit and feel of the CZ and bought a Canvasback o/u...I love it, great little shotgun for the money, I have had no problems in several hundred rounds. My dad just bought a Bobwhite on my recommendation and he loves his gun as well. No problems with his either. Bottom line I think is this, CZ has a reputation to keep up, and they're not going to put out something sub par no matter where its made.

I got the SxS Ringhead, Redneck, something like that.
The trigger signed off early on and my dealer fixed it up just fine. He was lobbying to be a CZ authorized repair station or somesuch so I didn't have to wait while it shipped hither and yon.
It's been OK but I'd hesitate to call it a bargain. It's worth what I gave for it - nothing more nor less. In 20Ga, the barrels have a "bulge" at the end for the screw-in chokes - gives it a "blunderbuss" look that I could have done without but I've warmed up to it.
I subject it to relatively light use.

I have a 28 guage Ringneck that I routinely shoot skeet with.
When I first bought it, it had to go back for a trigger problem, but they fixed it, and it now has well over a couple of thousand rounds run thru it.
Quality every bit as good if not better than Ruger in my book, especially in the fit and finish department.
I liked it so much, I bought the 410 a few months later.

Get a call through to Mossberg using the serial number. Any gun made with in the past 10-15 years can shoot steel shot. Mossberg can verify the age of the gun and inform you.

The CZ bashers will jump in soon, but I've had a beautiful 20 Ga Woodcock with over 2K rounds through it and no problems. Great gun.
