Todate, there has been no indictments against Joe Horn. The DA's office was performing their own investiation but don't know if it was a serious attempt or just window dressing for the drive by media.

Yes, despite all the argument and pre-judging based on the 911 call, it appears that it is not the bad shoot that a lot of people assumed. Hopefully, he is never charged, but who knows. I haven't heard anything new. I guess the DA could wait a while before pursuing it.

I've got a house for sale on my street...hmmmmm

I think he'd make a great neighbor. :)

The shooting involving Joe Horn was just recently (yesterday I think) presented to the grand jury for indictment (standard procedure for all shootings in Texas). Local police only recently finished their investigation. It will now be up to the grand jury on whether charges are brought.

Per ABC News (http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/local&id=6207849), the case went to the grand jury 16 June 2008.

I suspect that Horn's pursuit may be an issue.

Does this mean a determination will be made in the next few days?

Depends on how long the grand jury takes with the case. It could be a while yet, or they could have it done by tomorrow.

Joe Horn cleared by the Grand Jury
that's right...he was no-billed

I think he'd make a great neighbor.

I think so too as long as you got along with him. The two of you could take turns on patrol in the neighborhood.

Could you imagine a whole neighborhood of Joe Horns?

I would buy his ammo for him

Buying his ammo for him could get expensive. Have you heard the estimates on how many illegals are in the country?

He is old,
His area of patrol would be small

He was no billed today by the grand jury. Let's keep all the discussion about this in one thread: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=374391
