Was reading the thread on what happens to a bullet that is chambered several times and how it can get "set back" to the point where it would be dangerous to use. I shoot 9MM, and those of you who do probably are familiar with Winchester White Box, American Eagle, and CCI Blazer for practice. Well, I bought several boces of the UMC (Remington) 115Gr FMJ at a good price, and noticed right away that the bullets are uniformly "lower" than the other brands. Has anyone else noticed this? UMC all seem to be the same way because I got boxes from 2 lots and it was all the same.

Remington's overall bullet length is likely shorter than Winchester or Federal, its not an error, thats just the bullet design ie pointier bullets=longer overall, rounder bullets= shorter overall (given the same weight).

THanks! I didn't think it was an error because they were all that way. It just is a big difference from the other brands. If you were to compare a UMC round to a CCI, you would think for sure it was set back unless you saw the rest of the UMC box.
