Last week I finally decided to order the Comp-Tac MTAC holster that I have been eyeing for a while. Well last sunday at work I placed the order and here was the time line.

Sunday- Order Placed
Monday- Nice personalized email saying that production time should be two weeks

Tuesday- Nice email saying that the holster was finished and will be taken to the post office that night

Wednesday- I emailed them asking for my tracking number, I got a very nice email from their shipping manager with the number but below it was the text of the forward she had received from someone above her in the company that I found kinda rude, saying "I know this guy's probably just asking for the tracking number before you've had a chance to send it...but just to cover myself, I'm forwarding it on. If you've sent it, or are going to send it, I wouldn't even respond. I'm sorry to waste your time."

Thursday- Got my holster in the mail.

Granted today was the first day I tried it, I realized I ordered the wrong clips, I got it with the J-Clips which now when I read the site it actually warns you against ordering J-clips. I should have gotten the standard clips instead. I am going to try the holster this weekend on vacation but may very well end up ordering an extra set of clips from their site. (I could send the holster back but don't feel its right since it was totally my fault for not reading their site)

I was VERY impressed with the speed and politeness of the entire company. Each day I received a personalize email from the company. Also today in the package on the invoice was written, "Thank you **** for you order, enjoy your gear" It was hand written in Sharpie. These little things mean a lot to me.

I will update the post with the review after this weekend.

I say it all the time, Comp-Tac is simply the best when it comes to quality and customer service, I shop nowhere else when it comes to holsters!

I wasn't overly impressed with the J-Clips either. I'll keep my standards. THeir business has skyrocketed in the past year, so I can understand their planning for a couple of weeks to get it to you. Maybe their inventory said they only had one or none and they were expecting to have to make a production run.

I like my C.T.A.C. holster and would have no reservations about buying another one from them.

As was I. My letter said:
Thanks Eric, We appreciate your business, Jen.

It also had a big smilie face drawn with a blue highlighter.

I thought that was awesome. A company that actually puts some care into their packages. Its not just about throwing some stuff in a box and shipping it to some guy. It is putting a holster and a shirt into a box that is being shipped to Eric in Louisiana... you know. Just that personal touch that isn't seen hardly anywhere these days.

I am a happy customer as well, even though I haven't got the chance to holster my P2000sk yet.

I'm a big fan of Comp-Tac...great products and great service. I use the Infidel to carry my XD45 Tactical every day. I rate it up there with my sparks and alessi gear.

This is why I agree with you so much on Comp-Tac. I just received my Sig 229 holster from them today and again, just wow is all I can say!

On April 2nd I ordered my holster and received a receipt email, an order confirmation email and later an email stating the amount of anticipated time to complete the order. On the 9th I received an email stating that the item has been made and is ready to ship, later that day I got an email saying it had shipped. Here it is the 12th and I already have the item and it looks and feels great, again I couldn't ask for more. I also got two pieces of candy and a big thank you and smiley face! This is a company that truly knows how to please its customers, thank you again Comp-Tac!:)

I thought it was worth showing everyone firsthand what you get, here's what was in the box when I opened it up.....

Hey, they still include the Smarties! I got the same treatment with my C-Tac for my G21SF, and when I called them to order (while walking my dog in the summer heat) they spent a lot of time going over everything to make sure I was getting exactly what I needed. I have nothing but good things to say about Comp-Tac's service.

Same experience here guys.
They have a great product line, friendly, accommodating staff and turn around is quick.
I ordered a paddle holster, MTAC, and belt for my XD9. I even had alil trouble with my computer and got billed twice, but they only got the order once. I emailed them and explained the prob. The next day I got an email crediting my card. I got my holsters within a week along with the candy, free hat, and a "Thanks" from Dena.
As my gun collection grows Im sure I will be doin more business with Comp-tac.

Well I carried the MTAC all weekend and convinced two of the guys I was with to order Mtacs too. I will be ordering the standard clip instead of the the J's but then it should be perfect. The only thing slowing me down is that the clips are 15 for 2 but then its 9dollars to ship them. That seems odd me, for two small plastic parts but the holster was just great. It seemed to do odd things when and move in ways I didnt want it to but that was because of the clips not the holster.

They're the only holster company I've dealt with, but I had a great experience with them.
I ordered a paddle holster, then decided I really should have ordered a magazine pouch the next day. I called them to ask if I could add on to the order so I wouldn't have to pay for shipping twice. They advised me to just make a second order with a note requesting that the orders be combined, and they'd refund my shipping on the second order.
They refunded it as promised, and I received both orders together, complete with Smarties, about a week later.
Great service - I don't expect to be looking anywhere else for Kydex holsters in the near future.

Me neither, they will continue to see business from me! I actually need a mag holder so I guess I will just be doing a second order here soon.

similar experience when i ordered my holster from them
was notified of just about every step in the process from recieving the order to shipping it out
everything moved very quickly
got the holster in 5 days (including a weekend)
quality, fit, and finish were all top notch
i honestly could not have been happier with the service and product that i received... well... that is until i see that some people are getting smarties with their holsters :( i love smarties

i will be using their holsters for everything i carry going forward
as for the smarties... maybe next time :)
