12lb trigger S&W Sigma

Anyone have any suggestions to lighten the trigger pull on a 40 cal. Sigma. I contacted S&W who said they were well aware of the "excessive" pull required and had no plans to modify it, it was designed to be a strong trigger... they added some people even liked it that way. Almost impossible to hold the bugger on target and squeeze off a shot. I haven't seen any after market solutions offered. Local gunsmith claims he has had lots of complaints and is waiting for replacement spring sets to be offered. The gun is a year and a half old and hasn't loosened up on its own. It's not an attractive paper weight...

check on the S&W forum, I couple/few months back I put out info on how to bring it down to about 5 pounds without using a 3.5 pound striker spring. if you can't find it send me a message. sorry to be abrupt, been working 14 hour days.
