M-15, the finest looking production revolver ever IMHO. I may even pop one of those lightweight barrels on to a M-19.

This is my pre- pre-Model 15. It was orginally manufactured as a 6" Target Masterpiece in January (?) 1949. It was then returned to the S&W factory and made into a Combat Masterpiece in May 1950 (according to Roy Jinks). From what I can tell, they most likely cut down the orginal barrel and pinned the front sight on to it.

Very nice, but hard to find in my area:( I make due with my 2" 10-5. I recently sold a 12-3, S&W's seem to be going up in value.

What are the prices of Model 15's now? Say, in 85, 90, 95, and 100%. Give me your best guess.

I found this Model 15 at a pawn shop and I HAD to rescue it. It had quite a few rust spots on it and had begun to pit pretty bad on the side plate. I knew with a little effort it was a "diamond in the rough". I sanded and polished it all I could, bought me some Badger grips off gunbroker and a target hammer and trigger. Soaked it in some vinegar to take all the bluing off, then took it to my local smith for a $75 bluing job. Results are as you see.
I'm pleased.:)

Ok, I'll go ahead and show one of my other Model 15s.....This one is a Model 15-9. It looks weird, but it's a Performance Center gun and shoots like a house on fire.

Xavier,
Please remember me in your will for the heritage 15 with the long barrel. Could you please post some targets so we can see how sweet she shoots?

My M15 is the most pleasurable S&W to shoot. With the heavy barrel there is very little recoil. My pre-10, with fixed sights and pencil barrel has surprisingly more recoil.
