Look at the picture from another perspective: If both these guys are terrorists, then the photo is only half wrong. It would be right if BOTH of them were behind the launcher, if that was somehow possible with this SAM system.

I think the other guy is actually far enough away that the exhaust is to his left. If you compare the head sizes, the guy in back is a lot smaller.

The picture just makes it look like "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire"

Don't worry. Mr. Rocketman is just about ready to topple over, so I doubt that he had a chance to fire it.

I think Chipperman is right. It's hard to tell how far away the man in the background is from the shooter. If a telephoto lens is being used, he could be 50 ft. or more away. If a wide angle is being used, both the photog and the man are toast.

Everytime I see a picture of a guy with a rocket launcher.....I go back to that scene in THE ROCK with Nick Cage were he sent a guy a few hundred feet into the Bay Area with a rocket.

This picture was taken of an Afganie when they were helping us fight the Russians.
