Cramped quarters?

Though I've loaded .357 mags before, I just this morning loaded my first .357's using 14.2 grains of 2400 powder under Hornady XTP 158 grain JHP bullets. With that amount of powder taking up so much space in the case (and being careful to maintain a min COL of 1.57), there couldn't be much air space left in the case. I see some loads listed that go beyond 15 grains of 2400, which I would think would make things really packed in there. Your comments are appreciated...

If you worked up to this load with no troubles arising you should be fine. The volume of the case the powder fills means little, it`s the amount of energy in the powder that counts. Compression normally adds nothing if it was used in developing the load.

Sounds like a good load. Near 100% density (no air space) is a good thing because there is a more shot to shot uniformity since the powder does not move around.
