Who would be interested in a slick slide Beretta 92 that had a long single action, like that of the HK LEMs?

Would be a neat thing.

If I understand it, the "slick slide" means they left out the safety/decocker and they only do that on DAO models since they have the long, heavy trigger pull as their "safety"... at least, they are as safe as a revolver. The DAO model also has no sear in it.

The problem with making a 92 that is SA only, is that it has to have a long trigger takeup to light the firing pin blocking device out of the way (that is the little square piece that rises up out of the slide as you pull the trigger). So, you couldn't ever have a nice, short, crisp SA trigger unless you got rid of the FP safety.

I'd perhaps be more interested in the Beretta 92 Compact L or a Mini Cougar with a bobbed hammer and a trigger like the LDA from Para. I've not tried the HK LEM trigger.

Rather than Beretta coming up w/ their LDA/LEM, I'd prefer HK making the P2000 available in CA @ a "competitive" price!

Or just making the P2000 available at all....

I wouldn't mind a beretta vertec that had a short single action and frame mounted safety.

Get an old 1951 Beretta, that was the single action forerunner of the 92. But I have to laugh at all of you Da owners Beretta, Sig, HK USP etc - all looking for a decent trigger , and I laugh every time I fire my P7 !!
