I need to change the recoil spring on a Star Model D .380. The spring is captive between two flanges on the guide rod, as in the Star Model BM. Can someone please tell me if both of these flanges are pressed and staked, or is one of them threaded? I have put a moderate amount of force on them both, one at a time, and neither moved. Just thought I'd ask before I break something! There's gotta' be a way to change the recoil spring! :banghead:
