I have a Thompson /center "buckeye carbine" with a low serial no. 00240. It is the size of a white mountain carbine. Has anyone here ever seen one or heard of one. It is a 50 cal. with beautiful bluing and case coloring. I have pictures but don't know if you can post them here. I cannot find anyone that has heard of one. It has a 20 inch barrel and is round all the way. Thanks for your help. I have this for sale but no one has ever seen one.

Traditions made a short barreled carbine similar to the Buckeye
that was named the Buckskinner. It came in both percussion and
flint, with either a laminated or wood pistol grip stock, and also
with either a 1 in 20" or a 1 in 66" twist barrel.

It also resembles the TC Treehawk carbine.

These short handy rifles look like they would be good for hunting in thick brush or from a
treestand.
Do you know what the barrel twist rate is of the TC Buckeye Carbine?
It looks like a very nice rifle with a beautiful walnut stock. :)

Outside of the Buck Eye inscription & the 20" barrel I would swear it was a TC New Englander...

I was told this was a special run of 500 for a company in Ohio. There was another model "buckeye hunter" with 20 inch hex. barrel. I am no authority on BP so I am not sure. I just thought I would throw that in.....Dean
