Picked up a Walker's Game ear a while ago and love it so far. The only small issue, is that with one ear plugged, it can still be a bit difficult to hear what's going on around you, especially on the side that's plugged with the standard plug.

Has anyone tried using one in each ear?

At $150 apiece, they're not cheap, but it might be worth trying if it helps situational awareness while preserving my hearing. If only suppressors were cheap and legal!

Do these have the 85 db cutoff, or are you bowhunting?

They cut off I believe at 110db. I use them mainly for hearing protection while hunting. The only trouble it it's a bit tough to tell the direction of a sound while wearing one in one ear and putting a standard ear plug in the other.
