While doing a little research, I came across the "Infamous Red Gun" again. :barf:
It looks like after almost a year, Coliseum Gun Traders Ltd. finally gave up trying to sell this "unique" revolver.

This got me thinking, there's got to be a lot of bad ideas done to firearms.
So, dredge up and share your pictures of "Guns Gone Wrong"! Feel free to grab them from old threads! :uhoh:

Charter Arms IIRC is selling a pink snubbie 38. Saw one in a gun shop over the weekend, where we bought a gun or was it at the gun show, where we sold one, I forget.

I'll tell ya what is an abomination though, that is that Illinois fella that's running for president. At least to me a "small town" gun owner, whose Momma made him go to church as a child.

April 15, 2008, 12:56 PM
if guns could breed.... and you could somehow create a master race of guns.... what would that look like? I'm guessing it would look like a Glock, but the slide would be in the white, there would be a backstrap safety and a standard safety, and it would have a fun switch. It would be called the Nineteen-Elevock

It would likely fall into this thread of abominations too. Even though it's perfect.

They had a thread somewhere about somebody inheriting a WW2 vintage 1911. He posted asking about the value, admitted not being into guns, and promptly had it chrome-plated and got the hammer spur cut off, to the mortification of all present.

THAT is an abomination.

http://members.cox.net/werewolf1326/images/laugh6.gif

As a carry gun I suppose the minute of man's chest at 25 yards a glock is capable of is accurate enough - yeah - that's the ticket - minute of man at 25 yards. ;)

Ahhh...
Seriously - Glocks are fine weapons. Absolutely reliable and accurate enough to do exactly what they're designed to do - stop bad guys from doing what bad guys do.

For those of you that are confused, Abomination was the name of a character's gun in my novel, Monster Hunter International.

To sum it up:

Abomination? That was just too cool. Milo handed me a sack of loaded magazines. "Okay, just one more question. Exactly how many gun laws does this break?"

Milo's red eyebrows scrunched together in thought. He started to count on his fingers, and then thought better of it.

"All of them."

And yes, much monster justice is dispensed from the muzzle end of the Abomination.

I took it upon myself to do some research to see what he was getting himself into. My favorite line I found on a Forums site said something like this....

That is a Marlin Glenfield Model 60 simi-auto (18 round tube under the barrel). The thing on top is an old Aim-Point. I didn't have the factory mount for it so I "improvised." The pistol grip is an exhaust pipe, squished oval in a vice. The "frame" is steel rod, 2 nuts, a bolt with the head cut off and sheet steel brass welded together with a torch. The "fore-grip" mounts I machined on a mill from aluminum a few years later.
