Today i was fortunate enough to Hold/shoot a Colt defender.......I have shot kimbers of the same caliber etc.... But this firearm was everything that I have been looking for in a defensive /carry pistol....except rnd capacity, but that can be overlooked. This IMHO is a remarkable looking handgun. performed circles around my Taurus. I gotta have one. But, First anyone have any Ill experiences with this Firearm i would call it a weapon but ( The term Weapon is considered offensive and Gives the ANTIs fuel and it is for defensive purposes). Other than the customization of the kimbers it is relatively the same firearm, with less the pocketbook shock. Anyone got one for sale Willing to take a wife in Trade, I got a good cattledog I could throw in to sweeten the deal. The wife nags a bit but the dog don't eat much and works hard. Anyways any opinions will be appreciated!!!

When I got my CCW, the fellow on the firing line to my right was qualifying with one. It was brand new and had never been fired. He had several jams out of the 50 rnds we were to qualify with. He was shooting 230 FMJ. I saw the guy up town a few months later and asked about the gun. He said that after the first 200 rounds the gun has been both flawless and accurate and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Have not shot one yet!
Have a LW Officer' that has treated me real nice, and inside an IWB the 1/2 inch extra barrel length does not matter. Have shot a friends Kimber Ultracarry CDP and it was sweet!
I was amazed at the accuracy one get from the shorter barrels!!
Fire a couple of hundred rounds for 'break in'
Buy a good IWB and Wilson mags....
You'll have a fine carry piece!
I was ready to buy both the Defender and the CCO(could not decide which!), but Divorce Happened and money disappeared!! (maybe I should have flagged down that red head?)LOL

Whew - glad it was a gun, not a woman. Guns are expensive, but they can't hold a candle to a woman on that. Much less trouble and more fun, too - don't sass you back either. I'd like to shoot one of those Colts and see what the fuss is about myself.
