I had my Kimber refinished and it turned out even better than I thought!

Two tone black and parkerized Black/Gray. It just adds a bit of something to the gun don't you think?

It was done by Ron Kempf of Kempfs Custom Coatings in Jeffersonville, IN. HE does dome of the best work I have seen anywhere. He heat cures all his work but I am going to give it another week or so before I do anything except take pictures of it.

What do you all think?

I am thinking of having my Taurus PT1911 with rail done up in a Desert Tan or Olive Drab. THis refinishing thing is addictive!

MMMMmm M! Thats a nice job, I'm starting to really hate the "Deep Blue" of my Classic Gold Match, I'm sure its a fine finish, but every single fingerprint shows. And your not helping me by showing me this. :D

Enjoy!

Just make sure you have someone who knows what they are doing do the work. A bad Duracoat job can ruin a good gun. Also make sure that the guy will touch up places after the gun is assembled and sighted in.

Azizza, the finish looks great!
I'm seriously considering such a durable finish for my CZ-82.

Here's my Kimber (series I) with an electroless nickel finish from EABCO. I've been quite please just how well this finish has held up over the years.

Ok, so the JHP in your photo is driving me nuts. Is that a solid copper hollow point (possible from Magtech)?
