I'm looking for another IWB holster for my Walther P99 that positions the top of the grip only about 1-2" from the belt line. I have one that works OK, but isn't designed quite the way I want.

For starters, the belt loop clip is designed to go on the inside of the belt (over the pants only) and then it has a curve outwards to catch the bottom of the belt when drawing to prevent the holster from coming out. I want a clip that sits on the outside of the belt and curves/catches the bottom of the belt with an inward curve. The reason I want this is because I wear khakis most of the time and the thin material compared to jeans allows the weight of the gun to pull down on them, and since the clip is behind the belt instead of over it, it sometimes slips too low.

Also, it has an adjustable cant with only one set screw so it loosens up over time and then will rotate. I'd like something with a better adjustment system or no adjustment at all since I never change it from vertical.

Any ideas or favorites? I may take a few pics and update this thread later today to illustrate. Thanks!

Comp-Tac MTAC would fit your need. It is a half leather/half kydex holster that is adjustable for both ride depth and cant. About $80 and they'll have it to you in a week. You can also order additional kydex half shells to accommodate other pistols you may want to carry on the same leather body.

I carry between 1-2:00 and after browsing the Comp-Tac site I think their Two-O'Clock or Pro Undercover models are a bit closer to what I am looking for. The MTAC does look comfy with the half leather...I may try switching carry positions and see how I like that one as well. Thanks for getting me to their site!

I have a Fist Kydex holster that is very nice and I'm very happy with it carried at about the 3:30-4 o'clock position.

That looks like it would work as well. I'm leaning toward tuckable models for work, but that would work for summer carry when not working. Thanks for the info.
