BreakFree CLP covers all my needs adequately, but I'm uncomplicated. :)

Acetone (liquid or spray) is very effective for stripping off all oils and grease. Basic paint thinner (mineral spirits) is good for cleaning and still leaving a slight oil film. You can get these at Home Depot in gallon cans.

I use CLP Breakfree and Super-Lube grease as lubes.
For bore solvent I use Hoppe's #9 for pistols and revolvers and Hoppe's Copper Solvent for rifles, and occasionally JB Bore Paste.
In my experience, bore solvents and lubes are purely a matter of personal preference, they all work reasonably well.
I don't recommend using a One-product-for-all-purposes approach.
CLP Breakfree, and similar products are excellent lubes, good protectants, and work well as "self cleaners" in guns. This means they keep fouling from building up during shooting, and make the already loosened fouling easier to remove.
They aren't, however, a metal fouling solvent. They have little or no effect on copper fouling, so you still need a good bore-specific solvent.

Shooters Choice for a bore cleaner......FP-10 for everything else. For grease, either Lubriplate or Sinclair bolt grease.

I use Hoppes #9 for cleaning. BreakFree LP or RemOil for lube. Sometimes Lubriplate on the rails of my auto loaders if I'm going to the range. What you use isn't nearly as important as regular cleaning and lubeing. Most gun care products do exactly what they claim.
P.S. Anybody have any experience with Colt T12 oil?

I hate Brake-kleen, I like my liver and brain cells too much to use it.
CLP for light work.
VV-L-800 for lube.
Chevron Delo NGLI #2 for grease.(sticks forever) Slide rails, M-1, M-1A.
Slip 2000 gas piston and choke tube cleaner for those hard to clean recip parts in an AR-15.
Hoppes #9 and Benchrest for bores.
Butch's Bore shine for same.
Armor-all for Glocks :D No really, I clean the holsters, mag pouches, mags and magwells with it, careful, gun comes out of holster a lot nicer.
Ballistol. The wonder drug. Lube, BP cleaning, leather. I love it and I love the smell.

'nother Ballistol user.
Mild on the nostrils and lungs but it still does the job. Pretty good stuff.
