All I can say is I love this little guy. It looks great and feels even better in the hand. It has a small/short grip but in my hand it snugs very well into the middle of the palm. It is wide enough at the bottom to give a nice "bulb" to hold onto. It seems very well built. I dont know enough about how smooth an action it has but to this lay-person it seemed great. I shot mostly single action, sorry but cannot give any report on its double action, yet.

This was my first 75 rounds through the gun, all cheapo Walmart Winchester White Box target stuff. Obviously it had no failures. The recoil was not even in a catagory of bad. It was pleasant. The best part of my first experience was the accuracy. I was wholeheartedly expecting to be missing a lot of my 15 yard targets. But no, I was hitting them consistently.

I put a good 20 rounds downrange at about 60 yards and this is where the real surprise came. I was hitting the 12" target maybe 1 for 5. And the misses were hitting well within 20" of it. Now I may be fully unveiling myself as an inaccurate newb, but I gotta tell ya it more than exceeded my expectations for a less than 2" barrel. With more shooting I am sure the groups will all shrink drastically.

I really look forward to shooting more of this little guy. I recommend it to anyone considering it.

Happy plinkin'

Maybe it means that I'm an "inaccurate newb" as well, but I'm impressed. I've only had limited exprience with snubs, but I have not been very successful with them. I'm not sure I would have even tried the 60-yd shots, but that sounds like very good shooting for the new gun experience in my opinion. ---that is, I usually don't shoot worth a crap with my gun on the first try. It's only the second or third range session that I would actually admit to and claim... You know what I mean?

They are good little revolvers. I missed one at a gunshow recently. I should have purchased it but talked myself out of it, bc I didn't need it. Don't know why that stopped me, my wife says it never has before. It would have been a good companion for my 642. Must have been something wrong with me that day.

i bought one about a month ago. Since then i think i shoot it more than my 45 and i definitely like the 15 ounce weight. Great little snubby.

I've got a 637 I bought a few months ago. Only poblem I had was out of the box, the cylinder thumb release was a little rough. SW smoothed it out and I had it back in no time - and they sent a pre-paid shipping label for me to return it.. Shoots great and as you said, recoil isn't really a problem.
