Good evening folks. I finally got my permits after a long, long wait, and picked up my first HG. Nothing special just a M&P9. Just got back from putting 200 through it, and so far I'm pleased. Got a SW1911 on order also, should be in next week. :D

138 days for a permit!!. I'm glad I live in Vermont, pass the NICS check and your done. You'll like that M&P and it's built to take a beating. I have the M&P in 45cal and love it...retired my Glock 21 after shooting the M&P. I'm planning on trading in my Glock 26 for an M&P compact for off duty carry.

132 days, and even after I caught them in their lies, they wouldn't hear it. It took a lawyer to get them to issue it.

After reading your approval of the M&P it sounds like I made a good purchase. :D

That permit is just to purchase a handgun? :rolleyes: But that's another topic.

I've had a M&P (9mm compact) for a little over a year. Flawless reliability from round one. Prior to purchasing this one I rented a full-size 9mm. I felt a little like Will Smith in Independence Day when he flew the captured enemy alien fighter aircraft for the first time. ("I gotta get one of these!" :D

Way to go. I've been following your saga on njcsd.org. I looked at a(n) M&P at Efingers particularly for the ambi slide release as I'm a lefty. It felt well balanced and pointed well. Post a range report when you get the chance.
