Long Road Trip Ahead

Howdy, Folks.
I'm planning a long road trip. I'll be on the I-15 from SoCal to Butte Montana. In Butte, I'm going east bound on the 90 until the 94. From there...Well from there I'll be taking other roads that aren't important and I'll end up somewhere in North Dakota.

Whenever I take this drive, I always want to hit up some gun stores but never really have the time. This trip, I'm not worried about making time, so a few minor deviations from the course wouldn't bother me too much. Where are good gun shops along that route? I'll be buying Long Guns so don't lecture on how it's illegal to buy handguns in a state not of your residence. For all legal reasons I am a resident of ND. Specifically, I'm in the market for a Saiga chambered in 7.62x39, a non-yugo SKS (Russian or ChiCom is preferred but not requried), Remington 870, Hi-Point 995, Ruger 10/22, or something to that effect). I figure there's got to be some THR members who live by these places and if my criteria is broad enough, I'll be sure to get a few bites.

Keep in mind that I'd like to stay close to the interstate because the people who work around there are used to seeing travelers and the closer I am, the easier of an escape route I'll be able to take. I'm not wearing my tin-foil hat, but I'm not a fan of conflict and since I am a Mutt but definately look non-caucasion and my wife definately looks caucasion, the closer I get to the middle of nowhere, the more uncomfortable we both feel. It's never come to violence but we've had problems in the past, everywhere from large metropolitan areas such as San Diego, Los Angeles and DC, all the way down to Po-Dunk little towns all across the country (I can say Po-Dunk because my home town has more cattle than people, no Wal-Marts, Stop Lights, Starbucks or Fast Food joints).

When you come through the Salt Lake Valley, be sure to stop at FBMG. www.fbmginc.com

I second FBMG.

On your way to butte, will you be taking 87? If so, stop at shedhorn sports in ennis. Pretty cool shop, you probably wont find a "steal" of a deal there, but it's still a cool spot to stop in for a bit.

DONT go to yellowstone sports in Bozo. Those guys will argue with you for 90 minutes and make you want to take your business elsewhere...
