I found out about these late last November. With my birthday in December, I decided to order some for my BHP. Happy Birthday to me. :)

I got a call after about 2 weeks saying that they weren't in stock, and that they should be in January.
January came and went, I got an email saying I would receive them while I was gone to SHOT show. They weren't there when I got home.
I received another phone call earlier this week from Hogue, saying that the grips had shipped. UPS delivered them at 7:00.

They are VERY thin, and feel good. The overall fit is excellent.

The butt area is often problematic for fit -- even for some factory grips. These aren't any exception there, but the fit along the backstrap is nearly perfect.

Overall, I'd say they're pretty darn spiffy.

Now I just have a huge moral dilemma... do I go with these, or my Mil-Tac G10 grips?

HELP! :uhoh:

I'd go with the metal in spring & fall, and something else in the summer and winter.

Metal grips and zero weather is kinda like sticking your tongue on the metal flag-pole!

Metal grips and 120 degree weather is just plain uncomfortable.

Metal grips are great (love my Alumagrips on my 1911), but there is one caveat on them. The screws, since they can't get as good purchase on the grips, tend to loosen under recoil. Solution: get some small rubber O-rings (plumbing section at Home Depot) and fit them on the screws. Problem solved.

Thanks for the tip, Technosavant. Will do.
