What Goes Around Comes Around..

Be nice to people! My sons best friends family had little money and was roasting in thier hot house a few years ago and asked me if I could install air conditioning for them. Sure, 3500. Dont have it.
Wanted my son to look good for em so decided to install it for free if he bought the equipment. Do me a favor sometime if I need it. Well I did it and they were ecstatic. Few years later I've forgotten about it, no biggie.
I guess he had a windfall or something, but he calls me up and offers to lay some cash on me in gratitude. He never forgot even if I did. Boom, Bushmaster time!:D Wasn't counting on it, not in the budget so thats what I did, bought a Bushy. I picked it up last night.
Weird how these things happen sometimes. Just goes to show that what goes around comes around.:D
I guess I know where I'll be come Saturday...

pays to do the right thing, even if the reward comes late, or goes to some other, deserving person.
keep up the good work, and dump a mag for me. my bush is getting dusty in the rack, lately.

Great story. Send it to Reader's Digest and maybe they'll give you $300.

I think you darn sure did the right thing to start with. Your motivation was to help your son and his friends.
It is not all that unusual to have nice things happen those that do nice things. :D

A noble hearted deed is nobly rewarded. Don't you just love these happy endings?
For all the guns I service for free, it sure would be nice to be given a rare gun that I've always wanted. Where's that 800 mm railroad gun the Germans built hiding at? :D

Ah yes, I just love happy endings with a beginning. I got the A3 Target, 20" chrome lined bbl.
I had to laugh at thier manual. Almost a whole chapter on lubrication! Basically it says, generously slosh oil everywhere! Glasses & slicker a must.:D
My benefactor is a shooter himself so no conversion necessary there.:)
It's been a long time since I handled an AR, I didn't remember how utterly simple it is overall.
The manual says set the rear sight one click up from the 300 meter mark for zeroing at 25 meters but it doesn't say 300, it says 6/3. Is that the 300 mark it speaks of?
I've read conflicting remarks on the apetures. One place says the smaller apeture is for out to 300, the larger is for past 300. The BM manual says the larger apeture is for out to 200 and the larger is for past that. Who's right?

That big wheel keeps on turning, doesn't it? I'm a firm believer in karma and all that crap. Good on ya for doing the right thing. Glad to see that you got your just deserts while you're alive (after that, who really cares)!

A new furnace went in with the a/c. I got an SKS about a year ago as a tip on a plumbing job but sold it off, it didn't balance right for me. So hey at this rate maybe somebody'll buy me a Barrett next time, even a bolt.:D
I'm all set for tomorrow. Weapon & mags clean, plenty of ammo & targets, ready to rock. It wouldn't suprise me to see LEO's there looking for a certain lost AR. Wonder if they'll want to peek at my serial number?:D
I hope I can keep from laughing if they do.:uhoh:(I know thats not a laughing matter, but still...):D

Nice story, reaffirms my belief that there are still good people out there.. I've always been a firm follower of the "what goes around, comes around" rule.
